The Electronic Engineering program aims to train professionals who have the skills to design, create, and integrate electronic devices and systems, solving problems in industry and society.
Our areas of specialization and minors provide solutions to current technological challenges, adopting an interdisciplinary and sustainable approach. We offer areas of specialization such as Automation and Robotics, Cyber-physical systems, and Telecommunications.
We train engineers with advanced technical and scientific skills to actively contribute to the global technological transformation that is taking place within Industry 4.0.

Our curriculum provides comprehensive education, articulated through robust scientific training, thorough technical training, and a humanistic education with a strong social commitment.
Our courses are designed to ensure that students are continuously engaged with their discipline. We offer areas of specialization that are relevant to Industry 4.0: Cyber-physical systems, Robotics and Automation, and Telecommunications.
Students may pursue cross-institutional studies with the master's degrees offered by the ICT school.

PROFESSORS
All of our professors have Ph.D.s and conduct cutting-edge research in the fields of Engineering, Science, and Technology, as well as applied projects in collaboration with external partners. Our teaching professors either have extensive teaching experience in STEM education or work in the industry, undertaking technology transfer projects. They work on projects in areas such as artificial intelligence, renewable energy, robotics, computer vision, cyber security, high-performance computing, data analysis, energy planning, logistics optimization, modelling social phenomena, and cryptography, among others.

The Electronic Engineering program is aimed at creative individuals who are interested in technology and are inclined to use basic sciences to come up with solutions to real-world problems. Additionally, the applicant must have the motivation to work in a team, and be determined and dedicated.
Graduate
profile
We train professionals who are able to use their knowledge of Electronic Engineering and science to design sustainable systems that address social, industrial, and governmental problems. Our graduates are able to create and analyze electronic systems in areas such as telecommunications, robotics, automation, and cyber-physical systems. Furthermore, they have the skills to be a part of multidisciplinary teams that work in research, consulting, technology management, and commercialization.
An Electronic Engineering graduate will be able to:
- Create their own technology business
- Take on operational and managerial roles in the engineering departments of companies
- Participate in engineering projects in various fields
- Serve as an advisor and/or consultant in procedures related to their field of expertise in projects and ventures
