The School

In an official communication dated October 31, 1964, the rector of the Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario, Monsignor José Vicente Castro Silva, supported the documentation required for the administrative committee of the Association of Colombian Universities, National University Fund, to grant authorization for the School of Management to start operating in 1965.

Once the relevant requirements and procedures had been completed, the School of Management began its activities with a group of 22 students (19 men and 3 women) who hailed primarily from Bogotá, although from the outset it was apparent that a significant number of students came from regions such as the Caribbean coast, the two Santander departments and the Cauca valley.
