ABOUT US

Our Faculty of Entrepreneurship is a center of excellence dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial skills, where education goes beyond the creation of businesses. Our innovative academic programs equip our students with entrepreneurial skills and promote the creation of new industries. Furthermore, we encourage research within this field, thereby contributing to the advancement of knowledge. We have a positive impact within our country by supporting local and regional entrepreneurs through our outreach programs. In summary, we are an institution dedicated to cultivating changemakers capable of transforming industries and contributing to the development of our nation.

MISSION AND VISION

  • To adopt and structure intelligent models that bring about rapid and radical change across various industries and markets in a sustainable way.
  • To design specialized and interdisciplinary educational pathways for the cultivation of entrepreneurial mindsets in real-world contexts.
  • To incorporate and establish extensive networks to foster the development of changemakers in shaping social, technological, political, environmental, and economic innovations.
  • To provide experiential learning opportunities that prepare professionals to deal with extreme uncertainty, quick decision-making, and problem solving by asking questions, investigating, and taking innovative approaches.

Furthermore, we have an entrepreneurship center that offers various services to the Rosarista community, which includes four strategic initiatives:

NUESTRA TRAYECTORIA

 
  1. The Entrepreneurial Venture Creation Support Program (incubator) was established.
  2. Entrepreneurship Elective Courses were introduced.
  3. The option to study a degree in entrepreneurshipwith the Faculty of Management was introduced.
  4. The Master's in entrepreneurshipand innovation was introduced.
  5. The Entrepreneurship undergraduate degree was introduced. ​
    Entrepreneurship and innovation laboratories on the UR’s three campuses.  
  6. The first interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship Observatory driven by the private sector was started.  
    The option to specialize in interdisciplinary entrepreneurship in 70% of the undergraduate academic programs at the UR.
  7. Members of the Babson College Collaborative  
    The first minor in entrepreneurship was offered.  ​
  8. The Faculty of Entrepreneurship was established.

Experta y apasionada por el emprendimiento y la innovación. Directora del Centro de Emprendimiento de la Universidad del Rosario, Administradora de empresas de la Universidad Externado de Colombia con estudios de posgrado en Marketing del CESA, con estudios en emprendimiento, innovación, liderazgo desarrollo de empresas, y modelos educativos en Asia, Europa y Norte América. Más de 15 años de experiencia en la dirección de iniciativas enfocadas a emprendimiento, innovación desarrollo empresarial y fomento de la competitividad. Así mismo ha liderado programas de empoderamiento de la mujer, emprendimiento en jóvenes, adulto mayor. Autora del libro Arte de Emprender.
