Colombia has suffered higher economic inequality levels through the last decades. This fact is the result of prior problems happened during childhood. This study provides a measurement of inequality of educational opportunities in Colombia over two dimensions. On one hand, access and achievement are included into a singular index of inequality in comparison with similar countries. On the other hand, the recent evolution of regional disparities is measured using SABER 11 test. The results seem to suggest that Colombia is more unequal in education than fifteen years ago and its progress is slower than other Latin American countries.
